Crime and criminals are an infinite wellspring of ideas in mass media. Movies, TV sitcoms, and even cartoons feature crime investigations, gangsters, and terrorists. Yet in reality, crime is a grave concern. Isn’t it more desirable if our streets are safe and crime-free? Yet how can we achieve that goal? Criminology, the study of crime, seeks to answer that question.
