Outcomes Based Education is an educational delivery system that focuses on measurable outcomes of students engaged in a Teaching-Learning process. It is a competency based education. And since OBE involves processes and outcomes, hence, CQI is an important and integral part of OBE. The OBE Framework of the College of Engineering of the UPHSD is depicted in the following diagram:



The diagram illustrates (a) the interrelationships of the three measurable outcomes of OBE, namely, Course Outcomes (COs), Student Outcomes (SOs) and Program Educational Objectives (PEOs); (b) how the outcomes are anchored on the Philosophy, Vision and Mission of the University and (c) the role of CQI in ascertaining the attainment of the outcomes through the formulation of actions for an improved and quality PEOs, SOs and COs.
